Volunteering is a critical part of Ferrwood Music Camp!


Simply put, we NEED your help!


Our camp is run by volunteers. We volunteer our time and talents for the betterment of the children who attend camp.
     
Please consider volunteering, as we need your help. To keep the cost of camp as low as possible, we need as many volunteers as we can get. Some of the areas where we could use the most help are listed below. If you are so inclined, please sign our volunteer database below. We have listed some approximate times where help is needed. You can volunteer for just one hour or for a whole shift -- whatever works for you.

  • Kitchen Help - (Breakfast 6-8 a.m., Lunch 11-1 p.m., Dinner 4-6 p.m.) We need help cooking,  serving and most importantly, cleaning up after meals.

  • Reception room help - This year the reception room will be open all day long. We are in need of parents to act as chaperones in the reception room. Safety and vigilant supervision is a must. (12:00-5:00 p.m.)

  • Recreation Help - Parents are needed to help chaperone at the pool and during afternoon activities at the camp. (1 - 3 p.m.)

  • Friday Night Cookout - On Friday nights, we hope to have an outside barbeque. Parents are needed to help cook and clean. (6 - 8 p.m.)  

  • FOOD AND MONETARY DONATIONS  Many parents want to help but simply cannot afford the time. We are always in need of food and/or monetary donations. Please donate if you can.

         

For the safety of your children, it is required that all persons over the age of 18 who have a paid position at the camp and are residing at the camp must obtain the Child Abuse and Criminal History clearances. Please submit COPIES of these clearances if you are applying for a position.
 
Clearances on file with the Hazleton Philharmonic will be good for 5 years.
